Executive coaching for technical leaders
Executive Coaching and Leadership Development for Engineers and Technical Leaders.
Many Engineers are promoted into leadership roles because of their technical expertise. But leadership requires a different set of skills.
The Engineering Leadership Practice helps technical professionals develop the clarity, confidence, and perspective required to lead effectively.
Introductory conversations are informal and exploratory.
Engineering context matters
Having spent much of my career within German engineering organizations in both Germany and the United States, I understand the leadership challenges that arise in international technical environments.
Engineering leaders work across cultures, functions, and expectations. Effective leadership depends on more than technical expertise; it requires clear communication, thoughtful decision-making, and the ability to create trust across organizational boundaries.
Leadership transition
Engineering careers often follow a familiar pattern. Strong technical contributors are promoted into leadership roles because of their expertise.
However, the capabilities that make someone a successful engineer are not always the same capabilities required to lead people and organizations.

This practice focuses specifically on leadership within technical environments and does not offer:
Services
Individual 1:1 coaching for leaders who need space to think, strengthen their leadership practice, and work through real organizational situations.
Practical development sessions for engineering teams, high-potential leaders, and HR partners building leadership capability in technical organizations.
Practical and reflective
Coaching creates a structured space to examine leadership situations, clarify options, and build more effective habits in the moments that matter.
At the core of my coaching approach is the belief that meaningful development requires a high level of trust and openness. Coaching conversations often involve complex situations, personal reflections, and important decisions.
For that reason, confidentiality is essential. I strive to create a space where clients can think freely, speak candidly, and explore their leadership challenges with clarity and confidence. This foundation of trust enables thoughtful dialogue and supports lasting development.
My coaching development includes scheduled ICF Level-2 training, combined with direct experience in engineering leadership and international organizations.
Leadership is not a title. It is the responsibility to create clarity, direction, and trust.
